Making Giving Easier

The CDMF aims to make giving easier. Whether it be giving to an existing fund or establishing a new fund, we are here to help you steward your gift. We believe every gift is a grace-filled opportunity. Listed below are some suggested ways to make a gift, however we are happy to discuss with you the best way to fulfill your philanthropic needs.

  • Establishing a Fund

    Start a Fund

Starting an endowment is easier than you think. We handle investment, compliance, and distributions—so you can focus on mission.

Both endowed and non-endowed funds allow you to name your fund, define the beneficiary, and outline the intended uses of your gift. Many individuals give in support of their parish, school, or another Catholic ministry that played an important part in their faith and life.

New funds can be established with a gift of at least $25,000.  Once you determine the beneficiary of your gift, we work with you to maximize the value of your contribution by using a gift source that best fits your situation.

  • Support an Existing Fund

Choose from over 100 existing funds supporting parishes, Catholic schools, vocations, and ministries.

Giving to an existing fund furthers its mission by allowing it to give larger distributions each year. Gifts of any size can be made to an existing fund.

    Checks can be addressed to:
    ___(name of the fund)___
c/o The Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation, Inc.
    702 S. High Point Road, Suite 223
    Madison, WI 53719

  • Plan a Gift

Explore the tax advantages and spiritual benefits of planned giving, and consider if making a gift in the future may be the right option for you.

Maybe you want to make a gift that provides you with income during your life, and benefits a fund at your death - some charitable gift options can provide you with that benefit.  Or, you may want to use your estate to grow or establish a fund in the future.

Retirement Plans, Charitable Gift Annuity, Charitable Lead or Remainder Trust, Life Insurance, Bequests Through your Will or Trust… The possiblities are many.
