Education
The Diocese fulfills the teaching mission of the Catholic Church by developing the talents of students and cultivating a commitment to service, justice, and the sanctity of human life in its 44 schools.
By donating to a Catholic education endowment, you are helping schools and parishes fulfill their mission as they strive to join their work of education with the explicit proclamation of the Gospel.

The St. John Bosco Tuition Assistance Fund (formerly Hathaway Family Tuition Assistance) advocates for the importance of Catholic education in our communities by offering support and making it more accessible for families in need.

The John Paul Cullen Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established to provide scholarship or tuition assistance to financially distressed families seeking a Catholic education.
The endowment assists families seeking a Catholic education at St. John Vianney, Cure of Ars Catholic School, in Janesville.

St. Ann Parish has a long-standing history of faith formation for its congregation. St. Ann’s puts emphasis on life-long formation providing resources and a multitude of opportunities for Catholic education.

The St. Clare of Assisi Parish and St. Victor School Endowment provides support and assistance to this Catholic community in Monroe and its mission by providing supplemental funding for its programs and services.

St. Joseph Catholic School was founded in the early 1900’s by the parish families of Baraboo. St. Joseph Parish proclaims the good news of the Kingdom of God through the celebration of the sacred mysteries, proclaiming and teaching God’s Word, and serving the needs of the parish and the community.

In 1913 the families of St. Mary’s in Bloomington, Wisconsin, invited Franciscan Sisters to open St. Mary’s School, and teach the loving compassion of God. Today, the staff and teachers at St. Mary’s happily share the Catholic faith by supporting family values and delivering the best education possible for every child in their care.

Parishes
The parish is where God’s people meet Jesus in word and in sacrament, and are able to start living out the Catholic Church’s teachings.
The CDMF understands the importance of parish vitality in the Diocese of Madison and encourages the people of the Diocese to share in the responsibility of their growth. By donating to a parish, you are helping fulfill the true mission of the Church and helping the Diocese live in community.

The Cathedral Parish of the Diocese of Madison, consists of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, St. Patrick Catholic Church and the former St. Raphael Cathedral.
In 2005, the St. Raphael Cathedral was lost to an arson fire. A gift to the Cathedral Parish of St. Raphael Endowment supports the Cathedral Parish with assistance to parish life and capital maintenance.

In 2005, an arsonist set the St. Raphael Cathedral afire and the blaze spread from the choir loft throughout the church. The church was torn down because of the extensive damages. Until funds for the new Cathedral are secured and construction begins, the Bishop of the Diocese of Madison utilizes larger parish sites for various diocesan events. A new Cathedral will be designed to accommodate the large congregations at diocesan celebrations.

Bishop Robert C. Morlino, 4th Bishop of Madison, passed away Saturday, November 24th, 2018.
A fund was established to memorialize the legacy of the late Bishop Robert C. Morlino, with a primary intention of erecting a chapel and crypt within the future Diocese of Madison cathedral building. The
crypt would be intended to represent the architectural design envisioned by the late Bishop Robert C.
Morlino, suitable for a cathedral building, and house his tomb along with any past or future Bishops of the
Diocese of Madison.

The Queen of All Saints Congregation Endowment Fund was established to benefit the Queen of All Saints Parish serving the faithful in Grant County, Wisconsin, located in the western part of the Diocese of Madison.

St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Monroe, Wisconsin was founded in the mid-1800s and the accompanying St. Victor School was founded in 1916. St. Clare Parish instills the Catholic identity in all ages, providing its parishioners with both youth and adult formation. St. Victor School puts emphasis on spiritual, intellectual, and social development of its students.

Esther Dempsey deeded her family’s 10-acre homestead to Bishop William O'Connor in 1956 with the intent of establishing a Catholic parish and school on the east side of Madison. St. Dennis was named in memory of her father Dennis. The St. Dennis - Esther Dempsey Facilities Endowment continues the Dempsey legacy.

St. Mary Pine Bluff Catholic Church is a faith-filled community rooted in the Catholic Tradition and dedicated to the discipleship of Christ. This community puts faith into action through its worship, teaching, and serving of others. Its mission is to build a community of love of God and for the members of St. Mary. St. Mary provides continual Catholic education from pre-K to adult formation bible studies.

In recent years, St. Michael the Archangel Parish was formed through the merger of St. Ignatius in Mt. Horeb and Holy Redeemer Perry. Both churches have a rich history, and are forging a new history together.

In 1948, 28 families gathered together with Father Nicholas Schneider (organizer and first pastor) to give their support to the establishing of a church in DeForest. St. Olaf’s is now a vibrant Catholic community of over 800 families.

The CDMF holds two endowments for St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, in Madison. One endowment supports the parish’s programs and services and the second endowment supports the priorites of the current Capital Campaign. See below for more information on each fund.

Ralph was a dedicated Catholic and long-time parishioner of Divine Mercy, graduating from St. Aloysius Catholic School in 1950. He and his wife, Ruth, along with their four children, were devoted members of both the parish and the community of Sauk County. Ralph frequently helped out around the church and school during his retirement, offering his expertise in repairs and building. Ralph passed away on May 1, 2018, but his legacy will continue for years to come with this memorial fund established by his generosity.

The mission of the Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities is to minister as Christ ministered: seeing beyond disability to ability, nurturing and challenging each person’s abilities, and advocating on behalf of all of the disabled. This mission is achieved through many services, including events, TV Masses, and Grant programs.

The Catholic Multicultural Center (CMC) is dedicated to helping our brothers and sisters in need by serving the whole person. We accomplish this mission by meeting immediate needs, providing opportunities for educational and professional growth, and offering community-based activities to recognize and respect the dignity of each person.

The Heart of Mercy Endowment (HOME) provides perpetual assistance to ministries addressing the corporal and spiritual works of mercy in the Diocese of Madison. The fund was established at the urging of Pope Francis to memorialize the Year of Mercy.. Distributions from the fund enable the Bishop of Madison to support organizations spreading mercy throughout the Diocese.

John’s parents set up the John J. Karsten Memorial Endowment to allow his spirit of faithfulness and service as a “prayer warrior” to live on in the Platteville parishes. Specifically, this fund is used to assist people with disabilities and their families.

The Maier Family Endowment for Rural Catholic Life Fund provides support to parishes and ministries addressing the needs of rural Catholic life in the Diocese of Madison. This fund was established by the board of directors and friends of the CDMF to honor CDMF's first executive director - Daun Maier, for her service to the diocese and the Maier family for their steadfast example of rural Catholic life.

The Mary Catherine Matuska Pro-Life Endowment supports parish and community-based pro-life activities in memory of Mary and her great love of caring for mothers and children. Mary was a long-time statewide pro-life leader who passed away in 2019.

The McDonald Family Matthew 25: 31-46 Endowment Fund provides assistance for corporal works of mercy, as referenced in the Gospel of Matthew 25: 31-46, performed within Rock County. Grants are awarded to Rock County Catholic parishes each year, who directly fulfill corporal works of mercy through their ministries and outreach. Grant applications are reviewed by the CDMF’s Grant Review Committee.

Our Lady of Hope Clinic offers affordable direct primary care, fertility and woman's health solutions, and free healthcare for the uninsured. More than half of their patients receive free healthcarethis memorial fund established by his generosity.

The St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) mission is to help our neighbors in need. They live out this call by providing support through a local food pantry, charitable pharmacy, housing programs, and clothing and food vouchers.

Vocations
God calls priests in a unique way to be spiritual leaders and dedicate their lives to the Church. Through the Foundation, donors can help give financial security for those discerning this call.

Priests for Our Future puts emphasis on the increasing need for vocations in the Diocese of Madison. This allows formation of seminarians in the four pillars of priestly formation: the human, the intellectual, the spiritual, and the pastoral.
