Some of our favorite priests are battling it out in a bake-off to support works of mercy in the diocese.
Each year the Heart of Mercy Endowment (HOME) fund spotlights a saint who exemplifies mercy. In 2021, we are highlighting St. Elizabeth of Hungary, patron saint of bakers. St. Elizabeth, while born into royalty, is known for choosing a simple life of prayer and service, often bringing bread to the poor.
Each priest made the same recipe of bread, along with a creative bake of their choice! Bakes were judged on taste, presentation, and creativity. Contestants are competing for $1,000 1st prize and $500 2nd prize towards a work of mercy of their choice.

People of the diocese had the option to
give their favorite priest bonus points!
Each donation of $10 equalled 1 vote.
($20 = 2 votes, etc.)
May the best baker win!
