Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities

Diocese of Madison

The mission of the Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities is to minister as Christ ministered: seeing beyond disability to ability, nurturing and challenging each person’s abilities, and advocating on behalf of all of the disabled. This mission is achieved through many services, including events, TV Masses, and Grant programs.

This support for persons with disabilities in the Diocese of Madison began in 1967. It started with a televised Mass in order to reach those who could not attend themselves. Since then, the organization has grown solely through the generous contributions of the Catholic community. The Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities has always been completely funded by volunteer contributions as a living testimony of the charity of people in the Diocese. This endowment provides support and assistance to the programs the Apostolate serves.
